Not only does he find a way to make a musical that isn't "alive with the sound of music" (neutering by way of film) but he manages to bring his own distinctive, creepy style to the genre. Wow...I am impressed such talent dwells only in the heart of a true actor who can summons up whatever character he deems necessary for the part.
